Robin Lundberg shares thoughts on Michael Jordan's personal connection to Kobe Bryant
Michael Jordan saying “that little Laker boy’s” not going to let the game come to him, but take it himself sounded like a compliment to me. As you know MJ respected the competitiveness required for someone of Kobe Bryant’s age at the time to believe he belonged on the floor with established All Stars. And it was nice to see Jordan pay respect to Bryant in his own way, because anyone who watched him play knows Kobe’s entire game was a tribute to Jordan. A fitting one at that giving all the winning he did too. And just like with Kobe, there were times when Michael was reluctant to pass, but I bet there’s no one MJ would’ve rather passed the torch to than one Kobe Bean Bryant.
